of the Canon Digital IXUS 60
The Canon Digital IXUS 60 is a stylish compact digital camera in a stainless steel body making it both attractive and durable. It has 6 megapixels which is more than sufficient for most photographic needs and 3x optical zoom lens and 4x digital zoom which are fairly standard. The camera has a large 2.5" LCD screen with a wide viewing angle. The quick-bright feature enhances the screen's brightness outside and the night display mode improves night time visibility. Movies are recorded at 30 frames per second in VGA mode and at 60 frames per second in QVGA mode. Still images can be shot in widescreen 16:9 format to be played on a widescreen TV or printed on wide paper.
Shooting modes on this camera are Auto, Manual, Digital Macro, Portrait, Night Snapshot, Stitch Assist and Movie. There are pre-set scene settings for you to choose from - Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Underwater, Indoor, Kids & Pets, Color Accent and Color Swap. There are also a large number of My Colors photo effects for you to enhance your pictures - Vivid, Neutral, Sepia, Black & White, Positive Film, Lighter Skin Tone, Darker Skin Tone, Vivid Blue, Vivid Green, Vivid Red and Custom Color. My Colors effects can be applied to images both before and after shooting.
The menu operates in 23 languages - English, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Chinese (traditional), Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, Korean, Greek, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Thai and Arabic.
The camera is PictBridge compatible meaning that you can print directly to any PictBridge or Canon Direct Print compatible printer without the need for a PC. CANON iMAGE GATEWAY gives you 100MB of web space for your own online photo gallery, although this is not available in all regions.
