Canon EOS
400D
Review
of the Canon EOS 400D:
The Canon
EOS 400D follows the EOS 300D and EOS 350D, being the latest in Canon's
line of affordable, compact and relatively lightweight digital SLRs. The
resolution has increased from 8 to 10 megapixels compared with the EOS
350D and the 400D now has 9-point AF instead of 7-point AF. The Canon
EOS 400D has a Self-Cleaning Sensor Unit that shakes dust from the CMOS
sensor every time you power on the camera, keeping the sensor sharp and
clear. The LCD screen size has increased noticeably from its predecessor,
and is now 2.5" which is the sort of size you would expect on most point
and shoot cameras. The LCD has a 160° viewing angle. The EOS 400D is compatible
with all of Canon's EF and EF-S lenses and all EX Series Speedlite flash
units. There is a Video Out socket for reviewing shots on a television
screen and fast data transfer with a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection.
