i liked it very much, what a great battery backup when used with 2100mah
sony battery, can take more than 75 snaps. only problem is with the switch
for the still n movie mode, usually mode is changed without my knowledge,
it should be considered with digital buttons as other properties of the
camera.

Using 2400 NmHi rechargable batteries I have no trouble taking well over
80 pix with the LCD screen on. Only niggle: the switch for still/movie
shooting is easily changed when taking the camera from its bag. I can't
get it to work on XP SP2 - Canon's WIA xp drivers didn't work - still
looking (that's why I'm here!)

Battery span is incredibly poor. Original batteries were good. Have never
found any other new batteries that lasted for more than 10 or 12 pictures
or could be recharged and last for more than one or two pics. You often
have to force the camera to take a picture by holding the shutter button
down repeatedly and/or opening and closing the lens cover repeatedly to
get the camera to come on. (It always thinks the batteries are dead.)
Although it has a lot of great features and it is true that the pictures
when you finally get one are crystal clear, I would not recommend this
camera to anyone, new or advanced users -- there has to be a better value
in 3.2 megapixels for the money out there.

My family has now been traveling for 5 months and I bought this camera
to capture the fun memories. This camera has absolutely no battery life
span. I bought rechargable batteries and I have to recharge them about
every 10-15 minutes if I don't want to wait for about 8-10 clicks for
it to finally take. I was very, very dissappointed with the performance
of this camera. I would go with a different one DEFINITELY next time I
buy one.

This is the second digital camera we have owned (First was a big disapointment.)
and we are very happy with it. Once you read the directions and play with
all the different functions you'll love it too. One draw back...The battery
life is very poor. I bought a Powerex 100 minute cool charger, and 4 NIMH
rechargable batteries and now I'm all set to shoot many many beautiful
pictures...Very good choice for beginners. Thank you Canon....Robert &

I've always had great success with Canon cameras in the past. This is
my first digital camera and I paid a little more than I intended for my
first digital because I wanted what the salesman told me was the best.
The batteries lasted through 12 pictures and I cannot find the proper
batteries at my local WalMarts or Best Buy. I now have a camera without
batteries and no pictures. When I read the book it tells me I have to
use Cannon NiMH batteries for proper use and I also have to buy a charger.
I am very disappointed.

This is my first digital camera, and I have found it a joy to use. Well
done Canon! I just use the automatic point-and-shoot mode, but it does
have advanced options if you want to use them. The only disadvantage I
have found is that batteries don't last long. I would recommend this for
someone who wants an easy-to-use camera that takes good pictures.

This camera has no battery span. The batteries have to constantly recharge
and can only last a little more than an hour. Also, the flash takes about
a minute to load, meaning you can press the button to take a picture up
to 10 times before it actually WILL take the picture. However once the
pictures do come out, they are crystal clear, and the zoom is okay. But
the flash loading time and battery span are NOT worth it. Go for a different
camera. It's also too big to fit in your pocket, so getting it out of
a bag is pretty difficult.
