Canon PowerShot
A75
Overview
of the Canon PowerShot A75
The Canon
PowerShot A75 is suitable for beginners as well as those looking for more
creative options. The camera offers 3.2 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom
lens, both of which are perfectly adequate for a good quality, but standard
"point and shoot." The 1.8" LCD monitor is a fair size.
There are
13 versatile shooting modes – including a new 'Scene Mode' which gives
access to special pre-programmed creative modes such as 'fireworks', 'foliage',
'beach' and 'snow'.
The 9-point
AiAF (Artificial Intelligence Auto Focus) helps to ensure pictures are
always perfectly focused, even when the subject is not centred. To speed
up focusing and optimise exposures, the camera analyses the scene and
makes setting adjustments before the shutter release is pressed.
You can
record up to 180 second movie clips, complete with sound recording and
playback on the 1.8" LCD monitor. For very high definition playback on
a TV, the camera can also record up to 30 second VGA clips.
A Print/Share
button makes it possible to print direct to any Canon Direct Print or
PictBridge compatible printer and simplifies uploads to any Windows PC.
When connected to a Canon Compact Photo Printer, the PowerShot A75 allows
you to print a sequence of movie clip frames, and to produce your own
ID photos.
Canon's
ZoomBrowser EX (for Windows) and ImageBrowser (for Macintosh) enable you
to arrange photo albums, crop photographs and adjust contrast and brightness.
100 MB free storage on CANON iMAGE GATEWAY is also available in some regions.
Optional
water-proof and shock-proof housing offer protection against rain, snow,
dust and water to a depth of 40m. Wide, tele converter and close up lenses
are also available to really transform this camera into something more
powerful.

I've had this model for 4 years and use it mostly for scuba diving, and
it has been brilliant. It has now started to fail, and getting a replacement
that will fit the underwater housing is proving to be difficult. I love
this camera. but like most things these days, it is now obsolete.

kicks ass, and can take a beating. Great camera if you wanna get some
footage while snowboarding, wakeboarding, kayaking, anything like that!

I am new to this camera but so far I absolutly love the features. The
quality is amazing for an under 200.00 camera. I highly recommend this
camera.
