of the Canon PowerShot S3 IS:
The Canon PowerShot S3 IS is a high spec digital camera aimed at the more experienced photographer and keen enthusiast. It has a powerful 12x optical zoom lens with optical Image Stabilizer to counteract camera shake at slow shutter speeds. The camera has 6 megapixels. The camera records VGA quality movies at 30 frames per second and QVGA movies at 60 frames per second. The Photo in Movie feature lets you take still images whilst recording. You can also record up to 60 seconds of sound per image.
The camera operates in auto and full manual modes - Program AE, Shutter priority AE, Aperture priority AE and Manual. There are also Custom, Portrait, Landscape, Night Scene, Sports, Stitch Assist and Movie modes. The 8 special scene modes offered with this camera are Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Indoor, Night Snapshot, Color Accent and Color Swap. Photo effects available with this camera are Vivid, Neutral, Sepia, Black & White, Lighter Skin Tone, Darker Skin Tone, Positive Film, Vivid Blue, Vivid Green, Vivid Red and Custom Color.
The menu operates in 23 languages - English, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Chinese (traditional), Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, Korean, Greek, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Thai and Arabic.
The camera is powered by 4x size-AA Alkaline batteries or NiMH batteries(NB4-300). Alkaline batteries are supplied with the camera.
