Fuji FinePix
E500 Zoom
Review
of the Fuji FinePix E500 Zoom
The Fuji
FinePix E500 Zoom is the first camera in the new E-series range. The E-series
range of cameras is designed for the more serious user than the A-series
range. E-series cameras are virtually the same dimensions as the A-series,
but are slightly heavier (170g for the E500 and E510, excluding batteries.)
More importantly they have an ergonomic grip making them easier to handle.
What really
distinguishes the E-series is the wider angle offered by the lens (equivalent
to 28-90 cm on a 35mm equivalent lens for the E500.) This will enable
you to get more into the shot. The E-series is also capable of accepting
wide angle and tele-photo conversion lenses so these cameras have the
ability to get quite powerful.
The E500
and E510 still only record movies at 10 frames per second, so you'll need
to look to the E550 for something better if this is important to you.
