I have had my F420 for 12 months now. The picture quality is excellent and and the battery life of the supplied NH-20 battery is great - when travelling I was able to take an average of 75 shots per day (with minimal use of the flash) and simply charge the camera each night. The flexibility to switch to regular AAA batteries when reqired was a bonus. I was also able to take some spectacular shots in the dark of some limestone caves - the rock colours were picked up extremely well using only the Auto option. This is a great camera for the traveller who does not want to be bothered with film, complex camera options (although they are there) and wants a small, lightweight camera that can be easily slipped into a pocket or worn around the neck. The only thing I would look for in the future would be the option of panorama shots which this model does not offer.

In the last 6 months since having my F420, I have had to send it back twice for repairs which were both covered under warranty. Also it has a small battery life, the batteries supplied with the camera last only 15-20 photos max. Overall, I would not suggest this camera
