Fuji FinePix
F700 Zoom
Review
of the Fuji FinePix F700 Zoom
The Fuji
FinePix F700 Zoom uses Fuji's Super CCD SR technology which means that
every pixel has 2 sensors, giving a greater depth of tone, highlights
and shading. The octagonal pixels give a higher definition which is good
for producing larger images without blurring. With a metal body for durability,
this is an excellent camera for the price.
Key Features
of the Fuji FinePix F700 Zoom include:

Excellent camera, with very good picture quality and easy to use, however....after
14 months it stopped working. I took it back to the shop where I bought
it from (Jessops) and was informed that the sensor had gone, basically
the thing was junk as it was going to cost the same to fix it as it had
cost to buy, not impressed. After reading other reviews it seems that
this is not an isolated fault, it's a disgrace that Fuji make a camera
that only lasts just over 12 months and charges £200 plus for it. For
the record I have now bought a Nikon Cool Pix P1 which is brilliant. AVOID
FUJI.

I bought this camera just over a year ago, and was amazed with the fantastic
quality pictures, macro was particularly wonderful, and I could not fault
it. I often used it instead of my Canon eos 300D, and on my pc I cannot
tell which camera took which picture. HOWEVER.... after just 11 months
I found that the exposure had stopped working to the point that it would
only be correct indoors, and was a white blur outdoors under most lighting
conditions. I thought it was user error, and kept resetting the camera,
but after 13 months realised that it was a known fault with the CCD mechanism.
But guess what, the warranty ran out after 1 year, so I have a unusable
camera that only lasted 12 months. Fuji are not taking responsibility
for this, even though the breakdown is obviously a fault they know about.
I am very disappointed as I really loved everything about this solid little
camera. I do not think I would go to Fuji again, they need to market them
as disposable cameras, if they cannot make anything go the distance!!!
