Within the fixed lens DSLR range in comparisson with other 8 Mpx e.g.
Nikon, Canon, Minolta, Olympus, Sony... there are some cameras with one
function or another marginally better performing than this camera. There
are no cameras currently on the market that would be as consistently good
across all the functions. It is compact, has superb optics, bright display
and EVF, great colour balance and pin sharp focus in auto or in manual
mode. After flushing the bios with the updated firmware and purchasing
the Sandisk Ultra III 2Gb card [to increase the Raw format write speed
... the camera was so good that I have bought the second one, to keep
permanently in the car.
