Review of the Kodak Z700 Zoom

Aimed at the "serious amateur" or "enthusiast", the Kodak Z700 Zoom features a powerful 5x optical zoom lens which combines with the 4x digital zoom for a 20x total zoom. This camera has a large number of manual controls but also comes equipped with 14 pre-set scene modes and 3 different colour modes. Video capture with sound is also a feature.

Compare this camera with the Kodak Z730 Zoom which has 5 megapixels instead of 4, but only 4x optical zoom compared to this camera's 5x optical zoom. The Kodak Z730 Zoom has a larger LCD screen (2.2") compared to this camera's 1.6" screen. The Z730 Zoom also comes with 16 pre-programmed scene modes and 5 colour options compared to 14 and 3 respectively for this camera.
