Nikon Coolpix
7900
Review
of the Nikon Coolpix 7900
The Nikon
Coolpix 7900 (due out in April 2005) is, at the time of writing, Nikon's
top point and shoot camera. It has an amazing 7 megapixels which is great
for cropping images or enlarging them up to A3 size without losing clarity.
However, you don't need to fork out for 7 megapixels if you just want
a camera for normal size photos such as holiday snaps. For similar specified
cameras but with fewer megapixels compare this with the Nikon
Coolpix 5900 or the Nikon Coolpix
5600. If you're still interested in a high megapixel camera then compare
this with the Nikon Coolpix 7600.
One of the optional accessories for the Nikon Coolpix 7900 is an underwater
case.

I am impressed with battery life and the screen, however, after working
with nikon 3200 for a year I have come to conclusion that there is no
difference in two cameras, and to be honest I think better of 3200. I
have taken pictures with many different formats in the camera and noticed
not much of difference in different modes. I am interested to find out
if the 7 mega pixel is real or it is some compression or some fancy footwork
made it to be 7. The 3& 5 Meg pixeles are not much different in this camera
than its 7 meg.
