Nikon Coolpix
8800
Review
of the Nikon Coolpix 8800
With 8 megapixels,
the Nikon Coolpix 8800 is Nikon's top of the range "enthusiast"
camera for serious amateurs. Compared to the Nikon Coolpix 8700 this camera
offers a much higher optical zoom at 10x and a longer focal length. Another
main differentiater is the introduction of the Vibration Reduction (VR)
system which detects and compensates for camera shake. Nikon claims the
VR system produces images equivalent to using a shutter speed 3 stops
faster.
Compare
this with the Nikon Coolpix 8700
for 8 megapixels combined with a slightly lower optical zoom (8x).
