Nikon Coolpix
P1
Review
of the Nikon Coolpix P1
The Nikon
Coolpix P1 is identical to the Nikon Coolpix
P2 except that it has 8 megapixels instead of 5.1 and is available
in silver and black. It has a 3.5x optical zoom lens and a huge 2.5" LCD
screen.
The main
feature that differentiates it from other cameras in its class is the
fact it has Wi-Fi technology allowing for wireless transfer of images
to Wi-Fi compatible cameras, computers and printers. A Wireless Shoot
and Transfer function gives you instant "live" transfer of images as soon
as they are shot. Wireless printing to a PictBridge compatible printer
requires an optional Wireless Printer Adapter PD-10.
There's
an aperture priority mode for those who like to have more manual control
and 16 scene modes for those who want the hassle removed. Movies are recorded,
with sound, at a respectable 30 frames per second.
For the
same features but with 5.1 megapixels go to the Nikon
Coolpix P2.
