Review of the Nikon Coolpix S4

The Nikon Coolpix S4 is an innovatively designed camera with a resolution of 6 megapixels and a very high 10x optical zoom lens. It manages to incorporate the high zoom lens into a compact design due to the swivel action of the camera body.This also allows for more imaginative angled shots and self portraits. Despite the unique design, Nikon have still been able to fit in a 2.5" LCD screen.

There are useful features such as the Blur Warning function which tells you if a picture may have suffered camera shake so you can take another shot. The D-Lighting feature lets you rescue underexposed images. The Face-Priority AF mode enables pleasing portraits and the in-camera red-eye fix sorts out any problems.

Movies are recorded at up to 15 frames per second. There are 3 movie modes that record with sound and a fourth movie mode called Time-lapse which captures action over an extended period without sound.
