Olympus Camedia C-370 Zoom

Olympus Camedia C-370 ZoomReview of the Olympus Camedia C-370 Zoom

The Olympus Camedia C-370 Zoom is very reasonably priced and is described by Olympus as "a perfect choice for first time photographers as well as amateur photographers looking for an easy-to-use snapshoot camera." It has a Graphical User Interface style menu for ease of use. The Super Macro mode gets closer than the Olympus C-360 but the C-370 comes with one fewer programmed scene modes and a slightly smaller LCD screen. However, for the price the number of pixels and optical zoom are excellent.

Main Features of the Olympus Camedia C-370 Zoom include:

  • New menu (GUI) concept for ease of use
  • 3.2 million pixels
  • 3x optical zoom (equiv. 38 - 114mm on 35mm cameras)
  • f2.9-5.0
  • 1.5 inch LCD, 130,000 pixels
  • 12MB internal memory
  • One button per function concept, reset button
  • New user interface with useful descriptions of programme modes
  • Four scene programmes (Portrait, Self-Portrait, Night Scene, Landscape)
  • Endless recording with movie function (limited only by the size of the available memory)
  • PictBridge support
  • Super Macro, from as close as 2 cm
