Now on my third digital camera and got to say the best by far (got
to be honest the first two were naff one's given with a computer package).O.K
the effective pixels is only 3.1 million but the piture quality is
great and the macro setting is brilliant, not to mention the 10x zoom
, however the digital zoom will spoil a distant shot (don't they all).Portrait
shots are excellent and the camera is programmable to whatever conditions
you wish to shoot. The auto feature is excellent for beginners and
pro's alike, I would recommend this camera for its ease of use, even
if it is a bit weighty. Excellent product. Only down side (and this
maybe just me) is that in low ambient light it cannot take a good
photo...guess that is just me then.

This is my second digital camera from Olympus and I am very pleased
with it. My 8x10 prints came out great. All the enthusiast features
( minus hotshoe and sound recording) are included. The one thing I
miss is an AF light. If the light is low I use a small flashlight
to achieve focus. What is not often mentioned is the sensor size and
number of megapixels ratio-- which makes for a high-quality, low noise
image. This camera has it! Also, I might add that 64 ISO is available
using auto iso setting in good light ie. daytime. Portrait mode and
night scene mode favor low auto iso readings as well. Contrast and
sharpness controls should be experimented with-- at 100 iso, for example,
a minus 2 sharpness setting will produce a very clean photo. Almost
forgot, that 10x zoom with ED glass-Wow! The price is right too.
