Olympus FE-200
Review
of the Olympus FE-200
The main feature that distinguishes the Olympus FE-200
from the FE-170, FE-180
or FE-190 is the higher optical zoom
ratio. All the other cameras have a standard 3x optical zoom but the FE-200
has a 5x optical zoom which is relatively high for a point and shoot camera.
Like the other FE cameras mentioned above, the FE-200 has a resolution
of 6 megapixels, 4x digital zoom and a 2.5" LCD screen. It also has the
same 10 scene modes: Sports, Indoor, Candle, Self portrait, Sunset, Fireworks,
Behind Glass, Cuisine, Documents and Auction. Only the FE-180
and FE-190 have genuinely high ISO settings
(up to 1000) but the FE-200 has the same ISO range (64-400) as the FE-170.
Of all four cameras, this one has the largest internal memory - 24MB.
It also has a flat fronted compact design for easy storage.
