Review of the Olympus SP-350

The Olympus SP-350 is a high spec camera housed in a fairly compact body with an ergonomic grip making it easy to hold and operate. So what differentiates the Olympus SP-350 from the SP-310 and SP-320 models? Well for a start the resolution is higher with 8 megapixels. The optical zoom is still 3x - you need to go to the SP-500 for something significantly better. The digital zoom is 5x and there is an optical viewfinder. The SP-350 features a hot shoe for attaching an external flash. The camera works in automatic and manual modes featuring Auto, Programme, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual Exposure. There are 24 Scene modes (Portrait, Landscape, Landscape and Portrait, Night Scene, Night & Portrait, Sports, Indoor, Candle, Self Portrait, Available Light Portrait, Sunset, Fireworks, Museum, Cuisine, Behind Glass, Documents, Auction, Shot & Select 1, Shot & Select 2, Beach, Snow, Underwater Wide 1, Underwater Wide 2, Underwater Macro). Movies are recorded at 30 frames per second with sound.
