Sony DSC-P200
Cyber-shot
Review
of the Sony DSC-P200 Cyber-shot
The Sony
Cyber-shot P200 has an amazing 7.2 effective Megapixels which is very
high for a compact point and shoot camera. The high resolution will enable
you to print larger images without loss of detail or focus.
Sony’s STAMINA
technology means the Cyber-shot DSC-P200 can shoot up to 370 high quality
images on one charge of the InfoLithium battery.
The LCD
(2.0") is very large for a camera of these dimensions (104 x 51.5
x 27.9 mm). The LCD screen offers animated and enlarged icons to make
choosing functions simpler.
There are
nine Scene Selection modes to choose from.
You can
use USB 2.0 to connect directly to a PictBridge printer or hook up to
a PC and use the bundled software for more creativity with your pictures.
The Cyber-shot P200 supports an optional powered cradle, the Cyber-shot
station. With this you can connect to a PC, printer or AV device, using
a remote control to view your images on TV, while the camera battery charges
up in the dock.

People can't believe I've shot video of such quality (both picture and
sound) with such a small camera. Stills also brilliant! Had a 150 before
this which was good but the 200 is superb. Would recommend to all.

I have owned this camera for the last six months and have been fairly
satisfied with it. Battery life good, picture quality good, experienced
camera blurr however, which can be quite irritating. Good camera on the
whole

I love this camera (Sony DSC-P200) and all of its features, especially
the unlimited video capture (depending on the size of your mem stick).
But, 3 out of 5 videos, I'm experiencing some trouble playing back the
video from my desktop computer. Playing the video from the camera works
great. My computer is pretty brand new...bought a high-end Dell system
a month ago. Is it a firmware problem?? Any suggestions

Excellent ! U get this, u don't have to buy a camera for the next five
years.... Sharp Images, More manual features, excellent video capabilities
(32 MB card no good.. i had to go for a 1 GB Memory Stick Pro), very good
low light shooting capabilities, no red eye, absolutely no purple fringing.
Fantastic work Sony !

Great camera, very fast, and takes great pictures. It needs at least a
256Mb memory stick and get a "memory stick PRO" for better video quality.
Battery life very good. Like the large 2 inch screen on the back. Red
eye reduction works well. Macro mode is excellent. Lots of options for
people to experiment with and you can add lenses and filters. Solid design.
