I suppose it may warrent 5 stars if only it came with an instruction manual for the camera, and not just a disk for imaging. Perhaps I could learn how to use it then. If anyone knows where I may download some instructions for this camera please email me at workingcollie@aol.com Many thanks

The DSC-P32 is ideal for anyone wanting an easy to understand, no-nonsense camera. It has all the usual 'point and shoot' functions as well as the ability to manually override some of the settings to vary exposure and shutter speed. Additionally, there are some special effects, including settings for creating black and white and sepia images. Spot metering (in all but auto mode) allows for more accurate exposure in tricky lighting conditions; however, exposure can be a little hit and miss. Editing features are easier to use than on the camera's predecessor (DSC-P31), thanks to a short cut button for deleting shots and the replacement of the awkward 5 way selector 'pad' with separate buttons. Menus are clear and easy to use. The addition of sound to the camera's MPEG features is interesting but the quality, as to be expected on a small camera, could be better. I soon replaced the 16MB memory stick with something more usable. 16MB might be fine for small images (such as e-mail attachments), but is hopeless for storing images at full resolution - I managed nine. Sony need to be more generous with the memory provided. To summarise: an excellent camera for everyday use, although more advanced users might demand a higher spec.
