hi guys i m using this cam from one year... picture qual is too good i think this is best if u r thinkign of a cam without optical zoom.. bye

well the result of this cam is good .but the main problum is memory and i think its not good to send 16Mb stick with it. It should be 64 or 128 else rest of its features is satisfactory

Its a great camera for home use. The memory size needs to be at least 128 MB for convenient shooting. The videos come out great too! Go for it!!!

Well, macros at some 8-15 cm are THE BEST. Indoor pics with flash are pretty OK. Movies too. Batteries last for two whole days with maniac usage. Panoramics and outdoor pics are very good. Flash light adjusts very well minding your focus. First bad thing is lack of optical zoom, which can be replaced by smart-zoom 1.8x (equivalent to optical) but only at 1 megapix. For more it doesn't work, and you will need it. Digital zoom is always rubbish. Second, memory card of 16MB isn't any good, it pays to buy 128 or 256. Third, autofocusing can sometimes be a problem, but mostly it is not. Best buy for home and family usage, excellent quality of materials, camera won't break when it falls (tried!) but it's good to spring out a few bucks more for 3x optical zoom, which you will need for best photos.

Received P43 as gift for Xmas and it's superb. The image quality is fantastic, easy to navigate all the functions, and the camera itself is small but seems robust. Initially I was disappointed it didn't have an optical zoom facility but the Smart Zoom seems great and produces perfectly good results. Tried the macro mode (shot objects as close as 8-10cm) and the detail is outstanding - well impressed. Tried a few movies too, which seem okay, bar the fact that the 16mb stick provided only allows around 10 seconds of action; need to buy a larger capacity memory card to do this justice. Overall, for my first digital camera, extremely impressed. Recommend.

Having used a previous Sony digital camera for the last three years, I bought this 4.1MB camera last week and have nothing but praise for it. The image quality is excellent and the features and balance and appearance are equally so.
