I bought this camera after looking into about 30 different cameras, searching
the internet for months, and talking to friends. You really can't beat
a SONY for high quality, fit and finish, and product support. I have had
mine for about 2 years and it continues to work flawlessly. I have even
had 2 other friends buy the V1 after I bought mine, thinking I had already
done the homework of searching for the best camera for the money and features
and so forth. I purchased a 128 Memory stick and an extra battery just
for a trip I was planning and I really didn't need it, my original battery
didn't run down and I had plenty of space on my other memory stick. I
also purchased the printer, found it at a big box store for about 40 bucks,
it makes great pictures, although the paper is a little costly. If you
want a great compact camera with tons of features, these are still available
but you have to look around to find one.

I bought this camera about 15 months ago following top reviews in the
photographic press. It has been outstanding. No problems and takes great
shots whatever I do. If I get it right then the results really are outstanding.

I bought this camera about 3 years ago now. At the time it was near the
top of the range. I have had absolutely no problems with it. It takes
fantastic photos. I bought it thinking I would use some of the extra gadgets
such as being able to adjust the exposure length and aperture, but the
automatic photos are so good, I've hardly touched the extra facilities!
The software that comes with it is fairly basic. OK for basic downloading
but that's about it. Luckily I had some other photo editing software so
use that if I want to do anything with the pics on the computer. Overall,
I would really recommend this camera. It's robust, takes great pics, the
flash is great and the battery lasts well.
